A Chef de Partie is required for this busy and very highly regarded hotel on Guernsey. Due to the hotels close proximity to France it has built up a fantastic reputation for producing the finest French cuisine and other international and British classics to both the local residents and visitors to the Island.

We are looking for an enthusiastic, passionate, flexible and hardworking chef with excellent communication skills and the dedication and willingness to commit to a high standard kitchen and team.

Key responsibilities of the Chef de Partie will include:

·Supporting sections and organising mise-en-place for the a la carte menu

·Supporting all main kitchen operations

·Preparation and presentation

·Producing /maintaining company standards in regards to the hotel’s afternoon tea

·Training junior members of staff

·Maintaining high health and safety standards

·Section ordering

The ideal candidate for the position will have previous experience in a fine dining kitchen within a busy 4 or 5 star, 1 rosette environment/standard. They will be passionate about providing delicious, first class food.

The hotel is part of a small privately owned international hotel collection, so there is a good career path and many benefits. The live in accommodation has been totally refurbished to a very high standard also.

Guernsey is a fantastic island which is a very cosmopolitan place to live and work, if you are single or have a family; with good schools, low crime rates and has a more favourable tax system than the main land UK.
