Our client needs an EXPERIENCED and IMMEDIATE Wedding & Special Events Manager to help oversee the wedding & events department during this incredibly busy season

As an experienced Wedding & Special Events Manager, you will have the added responsibility of overseeing the wedding coordinators, meeting departmental expectations such as budget and staffing, and ensuring that they effectively represent the hotel/resort

OPERA PMS/S&C advantageous

Tuesday to Saturday – Flexible with hours

Accommodation available if not local or car driver

As Wedding & Special Events Manager your duties will include:

  • Responsible for the booking/contract of all wedding events including but not limited to wedding ceremonies, receptions and special event dinners
  • Ensure space is blocked in accordance to the client’s expectations
  • Responsible for the planning and coordination of all event details including but not limited to timelines, menus, vendors, day of wedding coordination
  • Creation and distribution of details BEO’s in a timely manner to all HOD's
  • Liaising with all managers on a daily basis and reporting to the General Manager as well as the Director of Sales

Key requirements of Wedding & Special Events Manager

  • Able to move about for several hours at a time
  • Be able to work under busy conditions and multi-task
  • Available Tuesday to Saturday, based on event schedule
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in Event Planning with the focus on weddings and special events
  • Ideally have knowledge and experience of Opera PMS and/or Opera S&C but some training can be given
  • Operational experience would be advantageous
