I’m looking to speak to energetic and engaged assistant managers for a rare opportunity to become an assistant manager at this 2 AA rosette gastro pub with rooms based just outside Oxford.

This pub located in tranquil surroundings in the Oxfordshire countryside offers an award-winning full service restaurant, boutique rooms, as well as thriving local drinks trade. The pub attracts a strong corporate crowd in the week thanks to the abundance of nearby businesses, but is a destination for foodies alike also and particularly at the weekends. The rooms attract excellent occupancy rates week in, week out and this is also an area they keen to expand on moving forward.

Appearance wise the pub is full of English charm, with exposed beams, a lovely beer garden and a charming bar complete with fireplaces. The bar offers an excellent selection of ales, wines and spirits whilst the restaurant element offers locally sourced produce with a regularly changing a la carte and set lunch menu, all cooked fresh on site.

The ideal assistant manager for this position will be career focused, and have a genuine love for food and drink, as well as coming from a premium/rosette background. You’ll be an extremely front facing assistant manager, and have a true lead by example motto. Due to the small scale of the site you’ll be happy chipping in when needed and will be as happy to organise rotas, place orders as you would be to aid with cleaning the toilets.

For your efforts you’ll be paid a salary of up to 25k + Approx. 2K Tips (a mix of cash and card tips) and get to work with a fantastic team.Subsidised accommodation is also available on a single or shared room basis, further details of this can be discussed on application.

I’d love to discuss this role with you today, so if you think you feel the bill on this role please do get in touch today.

We value all applications, however due to the volume of response we are currently receiving, we are only able to contact candidates whose skills and experience closely match the requirements of our clients.
