Host / Hostess

Salary: £24000 - £24000
Job Type: Bar & Restaurant
Employment type: Permanent
Location: South East - Wokingham

I’m excited to be working on a brilliant new upmarket bar opening in Wokingham, Berkshire, that’s recently opened as they look to take on board an ambitious, articulate and altogether talented host/hostess/maitre’d.

Could this be you??

This new independent appeals to those who want to enjoy excellent quality drinks in stunning surroundings, in an environment that caters to those who enjoy the finer things in life.

Service will be provided by the best in the industry, with cocktails made by trained mixologists!

This bar concept will be based around the botanicals that make up gin, and the bar will stock over 200 gins, each with their own bespoke tonic and garnish pairing, alongside a selection of premium cocktails/spirits and a range of local craft beers.

No good bar would be complete without a bite to eat also, so they will offer a range of small plates and cheese boards to ensure the ultimate night out.

As the host/hostess, you’ll work under the general manager and lead from the front. You’ll be based at the host station, meet and greet the guests, ensure the service runs smoothly and be responsible for managing the bookings in person, via email and over the phone.

You wil ideally have a good knowledge of spirits (gin in particular) and craft beer, but most importantly be willing to learn. You will be the first face people see when they enter, so a host of personality and a warming charm is essential also.

For your efforts you’ll receive an initial starting salary of up to 24K + Tips which are shared out across the team.

I’m expecting interest in this role to be huge so please don’t delay with your application!
