This magnificent hotel is set in over a 60 acres of beautifully landscaped Hampshire countryside near Basingstoke. The hotel boasts over 100 luxurious bedroom and offers excellent food, extensive gardens and parkland, and superb leisure facilities.

Main Duties as Reservation Manager

  •  In liaison with the Revenue Manager maximize bedroom occupancy and revenue
  • Ensure implementation of Rooms management Sales plan, inspiring a pro-active approach to sales
  • To assist the Revenue Manager to manage & administer GDS, third party websites and channel manager
  • To manage the co-ordinator, ensuring the workload is managed effectively, and that standards of service and operating standards are maintained as per company SOP Manual and taking action to rectify any shortfalls identified.
  • To implement and monitor departmental training and coaching including cross training with other departments.
  • To carry out the appraisal and performance review process with the co-ordinator in order to improve standards, motivate and develop their skills.
  • To attend daily operations meetings, revenue strategy & business review meetings and monthly HOD meetings as required.
  • To ensure that all correspondence and administrative functions pertaining to the department are processed in an efficient manner according to hotel standards
  • Assist with preparation of the Rooms Sales annual budget and business plan

Essential Qualifications/ Skills/Experience for the role of Reservation Manager

  • Previous hotel experience in Bedroom sales, ideally with knowledge of corporate & leisure markets.
  • Previous sales experience and the enthusiasm and ability to motivate others to achieve sales targets
  • Previous Supervisory experience with good training and team building skills
  • Must be I.T. literate, with knowledge of windows based PMS system
  • Well presented with outgoing personality, excellent interpersonal skills and professional manner.
  • Have excellent command of written & spoken English
