Assistant Front Office Manager - £22 000 P.A - Jersey - Accommodation & Meals Provided -Low Tax & N.I - Stunning Beaches and Scenery 

My client hotel is situated on the stunning island of Jersey and are now looking for a strong Assistant Front Office Manager with sound knowledge of Opera to join the team.

Main Duties as Assistant Front Office Manager:

  • With a hands-on approach, maintain operating standards for Reception and Night departments, ensuring consistently high standards of service are delivered to guests

  • Ensure that standards are regularly reviewed and that SOP Manuals are updated and that all staff are trained accordingly, and full training records are maintained.

  • Achieve budgeted targets for Revenue, Sales and GOP, ensuring all control /audit procedures are in place & followed at all times and staff are trained to up sell at every opportunity.

  • Control departmental expenses including wages in line with business levels

  • Ensure new staff receive a thorough induction, full training and on-going coaching to improve their skills

  • Carry out regular performance reviews according to company appraisal schedule and ensure all staff are set personal and business related SMART objectives

  • Motivate the entire team to achieve desired standards

  • Duty Management as required on rota (average one late/early shift per week, including weekends. DM’s are required to sleep over at the hotel

Experience needed:
  • Hotel Reception experience essential with at least 2-3 years at Supervisory/ Asst Management level in 3 or 4 star properties, with knowledge of corporate & leisure markets
  • MS system knowledge & Microsoft Office

  • Experience of Interviewing & Appraisal/performance management

  • Self-motivated - and able to motivate others to achieve tasks

  • Strong people manager with ability to build a good team

  • Well presented with an outgoing personality, excellent interpersonal skills and professional manner.

  • Have excellent command of written & spoken English
