Security Manager - 4 Star Hotel in Central London  - Meals On Duty - £35,000

My client s hotel  based in Central London are now looking for an experienced Hotel Security Manager for their stunning hotel.

 The role will mainly be days but you maybe required to work some evening and night shifts when required . You will lead and motivate a team of 4 and always lead from the front and ensure that they maintain the standards acknowledged and laid out in their skills training programmes.

Your mail role as Security Manager will be to :

 

  • Provide a safe and secure hotel for guests and employees
  • Develop and maintains a working relationship with the local fire, police, and government agencies
  • Patrol the hotel on a regular basis and document activities in accordance with corporate safety and security policies and procedures
  • Processes all written reports involving security related incidents and guest or employee accidents
  • Improve safety and security at the hotel by communicating hazards with department heads and taking appropriate corrective action
  • Handle complaints. Investigate and thoroughly reports on guest or employee injuries, thefts, assaults, lost property, car accidents, loud parties, vandalism, and other guest complaints
  • Develop written procedures for handling any emergency that would require partial or complete evacuation of the hotel such as fire, armed robbery, severe injuries, power failure
  • Ensures that all hotel entrances and exits are locked and unlocked per hotel policy
  • Assist in the setting and achieving the Security budget. This will be achieved by having comprehensive understanding of the department P&L, payroll and supplier costs. All over spends will need to be justified coherently to the Operations Manager with tangible evidence as to why this over spend took place.
  • Ensure that all meeting rooms and exhibit rooms are secured to keep unauthorized individuals out of the area and prevent theft

 

As Security manager you will assist in the training of members of staff outside the security department to become thoroughly familiar with:

 

  • Licensing Laws
  • Hotel Proprietors Act.
  • Staff Search Policy.
  • Health and Safety At Work Act 1974 
  • Food Safety

 

As Security Manager must be ideally conversant with Criminal Law, in particular the following:

 

  • Theft Act 
  • Criminal Damage Act
  • Public Order Act
  • Drugs Act
  • Powers of Arrest
  • Offences Against the Person Act
  • Data Protection/CCTV
  • Human Rights
