Main Job Function as Housekeeping Supervisor


  • To be responsible for the management, control and administration of the Housekeeping department including bedrooms, public and ancillary areas.
  • To lead and manage the Housekeeping department so that it performs efficiently and effectively.
  • To ensure that the Hotels housekeeping practice and standards are adhered to.
  • To give both internal and external customers, quality service.


Main Duties and Responsibilities as Housekeeping Supervisor


  • Monitor the supervision of effective bedroom cleaning, servicing and maintenance, ensuring sufficient room stock is available to meet business demands.
  • Check and control the standards of cleaning of function rooms, public and ancillary areas.
  • Control the ordering, receipt, storage, quality checks, stock levels and costs of linen, cleaning materials and sundry items. Organise the issue and cleaning of staff uniforms and protective clothing. Liaise with suppliers and report any deficiency of service/ quality.
  • Monitor and control all other departmental costs and expenses within the budget margins. Check of wastage. Encourage energy saving and other environmental initiatives, without detrimental effect on service or safety.
  • Plan and organise special periodic cleaning projects (e.g. carpets, curtains, drapes).
  • Complete the required administrative functions (e.g. timesheets, linen records) and assist with a
