My client’s hotel is on the outskirts of Birmingham with easy transport links into the city center who are now looking for a Meeting & Events Sales Manager

This role is for a self-motivated, proactive sales person happy to work as part of a team or individually with a driven goal to achieving venue budgets.Developing new clients through proactive calling and maintain and grow existing clients by implementing a successful account management strategy

The ideal Meeting & Events Sales Manager role will be as follows

·To generate revenue through proactive sales action and to work as part of the front office sales/reservations team, managing the Conference booking and PMS/CRM systems to produce maximum revenue in accordance with operational standards

·To participate, in partnership with the whole team, in the development of the business and its ongoing success and the achievement of its customer service objectives and budgets

·To generate revenue through proactive sales action

·To assist in achieving the venue’s monthly, quarterly and yearly budgets

Responsibilities for the role of Meeting & Events Sales Manager

·Participate in the identification of sales leads and proactively seek new business

·Day to day management of the booking system, ensuring timely and accurate recording of client requirements from inquiry through to arrival

·Maximize revenue by implementing good yield management practices

·Greet incoming clients, ensure satisfaction during their stay, and actively seek feedback after departure

·Encourage repeat business through the establishment of good client relationships

·Establish and maintain good relationships with existing conference agents, and identify and nurture new contacts

·Prepare accurate invoices and ensure that these are sent out in a timely manner and that the company credit policy is adhered to

·Demonstrate flexibility to meet evening and weekend customer demand, where necessary, for show rounds, familiarization trips, open days etc.

·Day to day management of the PMS, ensuring timely and accurate recording of client requirements

·Develop a good understanding of the company’s CRM System and ensure it is utilized to its maximum potential.

·Making proactive calls and ensuring all the data is correctly obtained and logged in the company CRM system.

·Carrying out site visits in a professional and hospitable manner to new and existing clients with the view to confirming their business.
