General Manager required: My client is looking for an ambitious and pro-active General Manager to help rejuvenate this 50 bedroom Hotel that has so much potential but is missing a leader with the passion and drive to lead it to the success it deserves. Would suit an experienced GM or an ambitious DGM from a larger property. Great location close to all amenities.

The successful General Manager will receive:

Reporting directly to the Director the General Manager will be responsible for:

  • To effectively and efficiently manage and control the day to day operation of the hotel and to ensure that all staff are able to carry out their allocated duties and thereby achieving continued guest satisfaction.

·To delegate and allocate special duties and responsibilities to the Line Managers to assist in their development and increase departmental efficiency.

  • To ensure the maintenance of the hotel is kept up, liaising with the Maintenance Manager
  • To develop and improve sales of bedrooms, restaurant and conference and banqueting facilities
  • To develop and co-ordinate the hotel in public relations.

·To assist in the setting of financial budgets

·To ensure all management and staff receive training and development.

The General Manager will need to have previous experience as a GM of a similar property or we will happily consider those currently working as a DGM who are looking to progress to the next level.
