Towngate Personnel are currently recruiting a Sous Chef for a stunning four star Hotel situated near Keswick in Cumbria. The property boasts around 40 bedrooms, a 60 cover fine dining restaurant and is set in a picture-perfect location, ideal for leisure guests looking to relax and unwind or explore the area.
The Hotel is one of the Top Hotels in Cumbria, has amazing reviews, boasts 2AA rosette level cuisine and the Head Chef really looks after his brigade. There are 6 chefs in total within the team.
Ideal candidates for the role:
  • Will have experience at Junior Sous or Sous Chef level
  • You will be experienced cooking with good quality, fresh ingredients
  • You will have an exceptional eye for detail
  • You will be confident leading a team and managing a kitchen in the head chefs absence
Typical duties will include:
  • Helping to bring ideas to the table regarding menu development
  • Helping with stock takes and ordering
  • Ensuring all stock is correctly stored to minimise wastage
  • Ensuring the kitchen is always kept clean and tidy
  • Helping to train the junior chefs
  • Ensuring all food leaves the kitchen to the required standard

  • There is a salary on offer of up to £28,000 plus £2k in tips
