Towngate Personnel are currently working with a stunning four star hotel within commutable distance of Harrogate
The Hotel has over 150 bedrooms, boasts very impressive leisure facilities and serves over 250 covers a day for breakfast and dinner.
The Hotel caters solely for leisure guests There are no C&B facilities and no weddings.
We are looking for a sous chef to help manage the kitchen on a day to day basis, reporting into the executive head chef and deputizing in his absence.
Other duties will include:
  • Ensuring the kitchen is kept clean and tidy
  • Ensuring stock is correctly stored and rotated
  • Delegating tasks to the junior members of the team
  • Assisting with the training and development of the junior chefs
  • Assisting with stock takes
  • Helping with menu development
  • Ensuring all food leaves the kitchen to the required standard
Ideal candidates for the role:
  • Will have experience as a sous chef within a busy, high volume, hotel or restaurant
  • You will have experience with kitchen management as well as being a hands on sous chef
  • You will have experience cooking with good quality fresh food
  • You will be keen and hungry to learn and progress
