Towngate Personnel are currently recruiting for a stunning boutique hotel and spa just outside of bath.

The Hotel has around 20 bedrooms, a 2AA rosette restaurant and a selection of private dining rooms.

In addition the property boasts an amazing spa, outdoor swimming pool and is located in acres of well maintained gardens.

We are looking for a Junior sous chef to help manage the kitchen alongside the head chef and senior sous.

Ideal candidates for the role:

  • Will have experience as a CDP or Junior Sous Chef within a high quality hotel or gastro pub
  • You will have experience working with fresh food
  • You will feel confident leading a section in the kitchen
  • Keen and eager to learn and progress
  • You will have an excellent eye for detail

Typical duties will include:

  • Assisting the head and sous chef with the running of the kitchen
  • Assisting with kitchen paperwork
  • Helping to train the junior chefs
  • Ensuring all food leaves the kitchen to the required spec
  • Ensuring the kitchen is kept clean and tidy with equipment well maintained
