Towngate Personnel are currently working with a large 100 bedroom Hotel situated near Worksop in Nottinghamshire. The Hotel is owned by an amazing group which really looks after its staff.

The Hotel boasts amazing leisure facilities and 2 restaurants for guest to enjoy.

We are currently looking for a sous chef to help oversee the 50 cover fine dining restaurant which is only open for evening service. 

There is a small team in place and we are looking for a sous chef to help oversee the kitchen, to help with menu development, to write the rota and to manage the operation.

The sous chef will manage the restaurant with autonomy but will report into the Exec Chef of the Resort.


Typical duties will include:

  • Overseeing the day to day kitchen management
  • Assisting the executive head chef with menu development
  • Writing the kitchen rota
  • Ensuring the kitchen is kept clean, tidy and organised
  • Helping with the development of the junior chefs
  • Assisting the executive chef as required


Ideal candidates for the role:

  • Will have experience as a sous chef within a high quality hotel or restaurant
  • You will have experience working with high quality fresh food
  • You will be calm under pressure
  • You will have an excellent eye for detail
  • You will feel confident running a kitchen in the absence of a head chef
